Japanese cherry blossom festival to open in Hanoi
VOV.VN - The Hanami (Cherry Blossom) Festival will be held at Bao Son Paradise Park on the outskirts of Hanoi on February 11-13.
Visitors will have a chance to enjoy real cherry blossom trees from Japan. |
The highlight of the event is a big Inori paper crane (crane of hope) made of 99,999 peach flowers. It is 6m high and 8m long. |
The Japanese and other people from the Orient believe that the crane symbolizes longevity, happiness and peace. |
The street is decorated with 10.000 paper cranes made with money presented by project supporters. Vice versa, part of the sum collected from the festival will be donated to poor children in Pa Long primary school in Thuan Chau district, Son La province. |

A variety of traditional Japanese activities like yosakoi dancing, taiko drum performances, cosplay performance, and asakusa will take place during the festival. |
Japanese adventure games will be held. |
Entrance ticket will be VND270,000 for adult and VND220,000 for children. |
