Japanese artists exhibit contemporary pottery

A collection of porcelain products by 35 Japanese artists will be on display on October 14 at the Japanese Pottery: The Rising Generation from Traditional Japanese Kilns exhibit at the HCM City Exhibition House.

Using porcelain and clay, the artists capture the beauty of the Japanese culture and lifestyle. Deep blue, white, grey and yellow dominate their works, mostly vessels and pots.

The contemporary works were made by artists who work at seven major traditional kiln sites in Japan.

The exhibition was organised by the Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam and the Consulate General of Japan in HCM City.

The exhibit will close at the end of the month at 92 Le Thanh Ton Street in District 1.
