Int’l Festival promotes Vietnamese tea

(VOV) - The second International Tea Festival will take place in Thai Nguyen province from December 8–11 to preserve both the tangible and intangible values of Vietnamese tea.

Vietnamese tea importers like China, India, Japan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and the Republic of Korea are expected to attend the event, according to the Thai Nguyen People’s Committee at a press briefing in Hanoi on May 31.

Thirty four provinces, 25 tea production, processing, and export businesses, and 50 Thai Nguyen tea villages will also participate in the event.

The festival encompasses a wide range of activities including a tea cultural festival, a tea carnival, a seminar on the development of the Thai Nguyen tea trademark, a beauty pageant, a photography exhibition, a rural market reserved for tea products, sports activities, and an industrial agriculture fair.

The festival aims to improve tea production and trading, expand the Vietnamese industry’s presence on domestic and international markets, and celebrate the culture of Thai Nguyen tea.
