Indochina Writers Conference opens

The annual Indochina Writers Conference opened in central Danang city on September 11 with the participation of a large number of writers and poets from Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and India.

Le Quang Trang,Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Writers’ Association (VWA), said the conference provides a good chance for them to share experiences and strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation among Mekong River countries.

On this occasion, 11 writers and poets from Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia were presented with the Mekong River Literary Prizes.

 

 

The VWA had organized visits for its members to return to the old battlefields in Laos and Cambodia with other writers and poets from neighbouring countries.

The number of literary works on solidarity and friendship ties among three countries has increased significantly.
