India, Vietnam enhance culture-tourism links

VOV.VN - Nguyen Phi Long, secretary of the Hoa Binh Party Committee, hosted a reception on April 26 for Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Sandeep Arya, who is currently leading a delegation on a working trip to the northern province.

Recalling the traditional and long-lasting friendship that exists between both sides and was cultivated by the late Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh and Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Long hailed the Embassy’s assistance for a rural project in the local Cao Phong district.

By building a cultural house for Chang Trong hamlet in Hop Phong commune, the project will contribute to raising residents’ living standards, he said, expressing his wish for the diplomat to act as a bridge between Hoa Binh and Indian investors.

The Ambassador said he desires to devise plans aimed at ramping up collaboration between the province and India’s public agencies and organisations in the areas of culture, tourism, economy, trade, education, and training.

The same day, saw Ambassador Arya and provincial leaders attend a ceremony inaugurating the cultural house.
