Ici Vietnam Festival 2024 launched in France
VOV.VN - A food festival titled “Ici Vietnam Festival 2024” has been held at Monge Square in Paris, France, as part of efforts to introduce local cuisine and culture to international friends.
Vuong Huu Nhan, chairman of the Vietnamese Association in France, emphasised that the event’s theme was literature, with the aim of introducing Vietnamese authors who are able to write their books in Vietnamese, French, or other languages.
“We want to show visitors that no matter what country the authors come from, Vietnam is always a source of inspiration for them," Nhan noted.
Book stalls were erected in the centre of the square to showcase a wide range of Vietnamese and French storybooks, attracting a large number of tourists.
In addition, on display across nearly 100 booths were also a variety of items ranging from cuisine to handicrafts, books, newspapers, and images related to Vietnam.
For his part, Vietnamese Ambassador to France, Dinh Toan Thang stressed that the Ici Vietnam Festival has become a favourite destination for both overseas Vietnamese and French tourists.
This year's event has contributed to introducing unique features of Vietnamese cuisine and culture to international visitors, Ambassador Thang added.
This marks the fourth time that the Ici Vietnam Festival has been held in France, with the occasion drawing more than 5,000 visitors, including overseas Vietnamese and French friends.
