Hundreds of Vietnamese artists worldwide join 72-hour peace events in HCM City

VOV.VN - A 72-hour series of events titled “Save the World-Việt Nam Tinh Hoa -Anh Em Bốn Bể Một Nhà ” (Vietnam Quintessence-People Across the World as One Family) will be held in Ho Chi Minh City from March 12 to 14, initiated and organised by singer-songwriter A Tuan.

The event takes place as many parts of the world continue to face instability and conflict. Through music, art and community activities, the programme is designed to spread messages of peace, compassion and solidarity, while presenting Vietnam as a country that values peace and humanity.

Following the 72-hour programme in March, a grand music concert titled is scheduled for April 28, a time associated with remembering national roots and paying tribute to previous generations.

The concert is also linked to the Hung Kings Commemoration Day (the 10th day of the third lunar month), which honours the nation’s ancestors and Vietnam’s cultural traditions.

The programme was initiated from the wish of Vietnamese individuals seeking to promote solidarity within the community. The idea was proposed by David Do, together with singer-songwriter A Tuan and collaborators who aim to connect Vietnamese communities worldwide and spread the message that all Vietnamese nationals across the world remain one family.

The event will gather a large number of artists, beauty queens, actors and influencers. Over three days, the programme will feature performances, recordings, talk shows and artistic exchanges.

On the second day, artists will perform songs carrying messages of humanity such as “Heal the World,” “Nối Vòng Tay Lớn” (Joining Hands) and “Anh Em Bốn Bể Một Nhà”.

The programme will also include artistic performances combining music, theatre and traditional Ao Dai show. A candle-lighting ceremony calling for peace and an end to war will also take place.

The final day will feature the talk show “Thiện Tâm Đại  Địa” (Kindness Across the Earth), together with music and fashion performances reflecting Vietnam’s cultural identity and its tradition of peace and compassion.

Alongside activities in Vietnam, the programme will connect Vietnamese artists in Australia and Cambodia through performances. Organisers also plan an international tour to promote Vietnamese culture and tourism while supporting investment and economic cooperation.

Through the 72-hour cultural and artistic programme, organisers aim to create a space linking culture, music and community where artists can share messages of peace, solidarity and compassion.

They say art has the power to connect people beyond national, linguistic and cultural boundaries, helping to promote Vietnam as a country that values peace and humanity and aspires to a better world.
