Hue International Photography Festival 2023 kicks off
VOV.VN - The Hue International Photography Festival 2023 officially opened on the evening of September 10 with the event being co-hosted by the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre and the Crossing Bridge 20Plus.
Upon addressing the opening ceremony, Nguyen Phuoc Hai Trung, deputy director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, emphazised that this marks the first time that the festival has been held in the country, with the event attracting the participation of 116 photographers from throughout the region.
Among them are 97 international artists from countries such as Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Sri Lanka, along with 19 artists from localities throughout the country.
A wide range of activities will be held during the course of the event, including a visit to explore Hue heritages, a volunteer day for children, as well as a seminar running with the theme of "Future World Art Photo Trends”.
Furthermore, a photo contest "Discovering Hue heritages” will be organised at the event under the sponsorship of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists. After being displayed at the exhibition, all winning photos will be presented to the Hue Monuments Conservation Center.
The event is set to run through to September 15.
