Hue city hosts Vietnam Jewelry Queen 2026 pageant
VOV.VN -The Vietnam Jewellery Queen 2026 pageant will take place in Hue city, central Vietnam, as part of Hue Festival 2026, organisers said at a press conference on March 25.
The event is organised by the Vietnam Gemstone Jewelry Art Craft Association (VGJA), the Vietnam Association of Artisans and Brands and the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, with the participation of professionals, artisans and media representatives.
According to the organisers, the pageant honours the beauty of Vietnamese women and highlights the creativity and craftsmanship of jewellery artisans.
Held every two years since 2003, the competition has gone through 11 editions and has established its position among beauty contests in Vietnam, while contributing to the promotion of the country’s goldsmithing and gemstone craft sector.
Hosting the event in Hue is expected to help promote the image of Vietnamese culture and people, contribute to tourism, services and the local economy, and introduce jewellery craftsmanship to international partners.
As part of the programme, a jewellery design competition for artisans will also be held, linking contestants with jewellery works.
The contest officially kicked off on March 16. The final round will take place from October 13 to 18, with the final night scheduled for October 18 in Hue. Eligible participants are Vietnamese women aged between 18 and 33, living, studying or working in Vietnam or abroad.
In addition to the main titles, the organisers will present nine subsidiary awards, with total prizes worth nearly VND900 million.
At the press conference, National Artisan Nguyen Van Bon introduced a crown design titled “Van Phong Phuong Vu”, inspired by Hue’s imperial culture. The piece is crafted from gold, silver, artificial diamonds and natural pearls, representing elegance and traditional identity.
The pageant is expected to add to the activities of Hue Festival 2026 and help promote Vietnamese culture internationally.
