Ho Chi Minh City to ring in New Year with special festival

VOV.VN - A New Year festival with the theme of City Tet Fest Thu Duc 2025 will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from December 28 to January 1, with the event featuring a wide range of special activities aimed at honouring Vietnamese culture and food.

The festival will be organised at a park along the Saigon River in Thu Thiem ward of Thu Duc city, aiming to celebrate the fourth anniversary of establishing Thu Duc city (January 1), the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3), and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30), according to the organisers the administration of Thu Duc city at a press conference on October 31.

The highlight of the festival will be a music gala to mark the festival’s opening ceremony on December 28 and a countdown music party on December 31 to welcome in the New Year.

Music programmes are expected to gather together renowned singers from Vietnam and many other leading artists from across the world.

The five-day long event, which features a series of activities, such as an exhibition themed "See You Tet Sound" and a fair on agricultural products, aims to contribute to the overall preservation of traditional cultural values.

This year, there will be stalls set up specifically to introduce folk games and toys to entertain both local residents and tourists.
