Ho Chi Minh City to debut kiosk at Frankfurt Book Fair 2024
VOV.VN - A delegation from Ho Chi Minh City will attend the Frankfurt Book Fair 2024, which is scheduled to take place in early October.
Spanning 100 square metres, the Ho Chi Minh City booth will feature a number of books from various fields, images, and outstanding activities of the southern city's publishing industry.
Furthermore, a number of video clips, documentaries on culture, economics, and education of the city will also be introduced to the international public.
The Ho Chi Minh City delegation will also participate in a range of activities at the book fair, such as a handover of books to the Vietnamese community at the Consulate General of Vietnam in Frankfurt; meetings with some of the world’s leading publishing houses; exchanges; and seminars on protection of book copyright, printing, distribution, and e-books.
This year's Frankfurt Book Fair is scheduled to attract hundreds of thousands of readers, speakers, publishers, distributors, and authors from all over the world.
The book fair will serve as a platform for publishing organisations to convene, discuss book deals, and address various international trade issues.
The Vietnamese city’s delegation will then travel to Italy to attend the Bologna Children's Book Fair with the aim of gaining experience to further develop a reading culture among children in Vietnam.
