Ho Chi Minh City Days launched in Osaka

VOV.VN - A three-day event aiming to strengthen ties of friendship and co-operation between Ho Chi Minh City and Osaka kicked off on May 17 in the Japanese city.

The event opened with a gathering on the morning of May 17 among the Vietnamese business community based in Osaka. Later on the same day a programme was held aimed at introducing traditional musical instruments of the two countries at the Hilton Osaka Hotel.

Furthermore, a music gala is due to take place as part of the Ho Chi Minh City Days in Osaka on May 18.

The event is set to feature a range of cultural and arts activities performed by artists from Ho Chi Minh City, including traditional music performances and Ao dai (traditional long dress) fashion show by local designers Vo Viet Chung and Trung Dinh.

The Ho Chi Minh City Days in Osaka will run from May 17 to May 19 and is to be held in celebration of the friendly relations that exist between the Vietnamese city and the Japanese prefecture of Osaka.

It is also taking part as one of the activities marking the 51st founding anniversary of both nations' diplomatic relations.
