H’Mong minority children in the top 11 of 2012 Photo Contest

A photo of H’Mong minority children playing with their balloons on a foggy day in Moc Chau in northern mountainous Son La province taken by Vietnamese photographer Vo Van Kiet has been awarded at the 2012 National Geographic Photo Contest.

It is one of the best eleven chosen from 12,000 entries. 

The first prize went to Cedric Houin for his “Butterfly” photo of a woman and child sitting inside a yurt shot in the Kyrgyz lands of the Wakhan Corridor in Afghanistan.
