Business magazine Forbes Vietnam revealed their list of the 50 most influential women in Vietnam for 2019 on March 4. This is the second year that the magazine has run the list. |
Huong Giang, Miss International Queen 2018, first rose to prominence as a singer on Vietnam Idol in 2012. She has been named as an influencer in society, particularly with her focus on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning (LGBTQ) issues. |
The 28-year-old girl has been an active participant in many activities related to gender equality and is an inspirational figure for the local LGBTQ community in Vietnam. |
She is currently in Thailand competing in the transgender pageant Miss International Queen 2019. She has also found time to give encouragement to Do Nhat Ha, another Vietnamese representative at the competition. The grand final of Miss International Queen 2019 is set to take place in Thailand on March 8. |
