Heritage Festival features ASEAN-RoK culture
(VOV) -Art troupes from Southeast Asian countries and the Republic of Korea (RoK) will give 18 performances at the 5th Heritage Festival being held in the central province of Quang Nam from June 22-26.
The highlights of the festival will include the RoK’s Ariang folk songs, Malaysia’s Mengadap Rebab traditional dances and an excerpt from Thailand’s Manora dance drama about prince Suthon and Kinnari Manohra.
The event is considered as a cultural exchange between artists from regional nations.
It also marks the 10th anniversary of implementing the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage on the way to building the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) by 2015.
