HCM City wins silver in Golden Racket Tournament

(VOV) - The women's team from host Ho Chi Minh City earned a silver medal after losing to Japan 0-3 in the final round of the 26th Golden Racket International Table Tennis Tournament on November 2.

Leading Vietnamese players Mai Hoang My Trang, and Nguyen Thi Viet Linh, as well as young player Yen Nhi, encountered many difficulties when they faced the young Japanese athletes.

Despite their concerted efforts, the Vietnamese players had to settle for a silver medal, which was the best result the HCM City team has ever achieved in the tournament.

The Republic of Korea trounced Singapore with a score of 3-1 to take the championship title in the men's team event.
