HCM City to celebrate Lunar New Year’s Eve with fireworks displays at 15 locations
VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City, the most populous city of Vietnam, will celebrate Lunar New Year’s Eve for 2025 with fireworks displays at 15 locations across the city, according to the municipal administration.
They include two high-altitude sites and 13 low-altitude sites, with fireworks displays lasting 15 minutes from midnight to 12:15 AM on January 29 (the first day of the Lunar New Year).
The high-altitude fireworks locations will be Saigon River Tunnel Area in Thu Duc City, and Ben Duoc Memorial Temple in Cu Chi District.
In addition to the much awaited fireworks displays, the city will hold various activities to welcome the lunar New Year of the Snake 2025. They will include a 3D Light Projection on the HCMC People’s Committee Building, a special exhibition on Vietnam’s development achievements, a floating flower market, and a spring flower festival.
These celebrations aim to create a joyful and festive atmosphere while showcasing the rich culture and traditions of Vietnam’s largest festival of the year.
Many provinces and cities across Vietnam have also planned fireworks displays on Lunar New Year’s Eve to welcome the Year of the Snake.
