Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy stressed that the vibrant realities of Vietnam's revolutionary history over the last 95 years have proven the Party's wise and visionary leadership to be the foremost factor in all victories of the nation.

Vietnam has risen to rank among the top 40 economies in the world. It has set up diplomatic relations with 194 nations worldwide. The nation is recognised by the UN and the international community as a shining example of poverty alleviation with great efforts to continuously improve the material and spiritual well-being of its people. The Southeast Asian country has emerged as a symbol of peace, stability, and hospitality while becoming an attractive destination for foreign investors and tourists, she noted.

At Lam Son Park, 90 photos on display take the public back to the early days of the Party's establishment—an immensely important turning point in the history of Vietnam’s revolution.

It also spotlights the Party’s clear-sighted leadership, its unyielding and indomitable fighting spirit, and its perseverance through hardships and sacrifices to lead the entire army and people to numerous glorious victories, including the success of the August 1945 Revolution that led to the establishment of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam), the globe-shaking Dien Bien Phu Victory that resulted in the defeat of the French colonialists in 1954, and the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign in 1975 making the culmination of the 30-year struggle for the South liberation and national reunification.

The event also aims to affirm that the CPV’s leadership role in the “Doi moi” (renewal) process for the last nearly 40 years is pivotal to the country's development.

The display on Dong Khoi street features 78 photos highlighting ten outstanding milestones of HCM City across fields in 2024, as well as its achievements in socio-economic development, national defence and security, and international cooperation. Photos about exemplary collectives and individuals, creative models in patriotic emulation, and bright examples in the studying and following of President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, moral example and style are also on show.

Meanwhile, the zone opposite to Chi Lang Park showcases 49 artistic photographs capturing the lively and joyful atmosphere in many areas of the southern metropolis on the threshold of the Lunar New Year (Tet) Festival.
