HCM City festival features regional specialities

VOV.VN - The ongoing Southern Land Cuisine Festival at Dam Sen Park in Ho Chi Minh City has drawn hundreds of visitors coming to savour more than 250 specialities of three regions.

The annual event taking place May 24-28 aims to promote Vietnamese culinary culture.

A ticket costs VND250,000 (including an entrance ticket and some dishes)

Sixty stands sell popular dishes of different regions, for example Can Gio with fresh seafood.

Visitors can taste dishes served at stands.

Roasted snail is a speciality of the western region.

Different kinds of che (sweet soup) are favourite food in hot weather. Pictured is Hue lotus sweet soup.

In addition to enjoying different kinds of food, visitors can discover unique cultural features of localities like weaving and ceramic making of Cham ethnic minority people.
