HCM City duo crowned tennis champions
(VOV) - Do Minh Quan and Le Quoc Khanh from Ho Chi Minh City defeated Huynh Chi Khuong and Tran Thanh Hoang from the Army to win the championship title in the men's doubles event at the National Tennis Championships, Viettravel Cup, in Hanoi on October 13.
The match was quite intense. The HCM City duo won the first set 6-4, but Chi Khuong and Thanh Hoang reversed the situation in the second set with score of 6-2.
In the final set, with experience and perfect teamwork, the HCM City duo trounced their Army rivals 10-7 and earned the men's doubles title.
Dai Trang vanquished Ngoc Van, both from HCM City, with the same score of 6-0 in two sets to win the Viettravel Cup in the women's singles category.
The tournament ended on the same day with all the championships titles going to players from HCM City except for the men’s singles title, which fell to Ly Hoang Nam from Binh Duong.
