Hanoi's iconic landmarks to be introduced at Hoa Lo Prison Relic exhibition

VOV.VN - As many as 25 historical and cultural relics of the capital will be featured at an exhibition space titled “A Glimpse of Heritage” due to take place at Hoa Lo Prison Relic in Hanoi on July 1.

The exhibition will be organised by the Management Board of Hoa Lo Prison Relics to celebrate 25 years of UNESCO recognition of Hanoi as City for Peace.

Visitors will have the chance to admire a number of French architectural works that are now recognised as part of national heritage, such as The Grand Palais or Grand Palais de l'Exposition, which was an exhibition and trade fair complex in Hanoi; 90 Jean Soler Street, now known as Tho Nhuom street, where Tran Phu- the first General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam wrote the Draft of Political Platform - “Thesis on Bourgeois Civil Rights Revolution”; and 5D Dourdart de Lagreé Avenue, now Ham Long street, where the first Communist cell was established.

Furthermore, images of Hanoi Opera House, August Revolution Square, Lang Fort, Ba Dinh Square, Dong Xuan Market, Hoa Lo Prison, Long Bien Bridge, Hanoi Railway Station, Bach Mai Hospital and Hanoi Flag Tower will also be introduced at the exhibition.

The event will run until September 5.
