Hanoi music gala celebrates 20 years since award of “City for Peace” title

VOV.VN - The Vietnam-Russia Cultural Friendship Palace in Hanoi hosted a music gala on July 9 aimed at commemorating 20 years since the capital city was officially recognised as a “City for Peace” by UNESCO.
The event was organised by Hanoi Radio Television. |
Those in attendance at the gala include both Party and State leaders, in addition to delegates from both at home and abroad. |
To Quang Phan, general director of Hanoi Radio Television, says the capital is honoured by UNESCO’s recognition as a “City for Peace” on July 16, 1999. In being awarded the title Hanoi became the only city in the Asia-Pacific region to receive such an honour. |
