Hanoi, HCM City to host Acecook Happiness Concert

The annual event, the seventh of its kind, will see performances by VNSC artists under the baton of renowned Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji.

They will be joined by opera artist Pham Khanh Ngoc, flutist Le Thu Huong, along with singer Pham Thu Ha.

During the event, masterpieces by famous composers will be performed, including The Raider’s March by William Tell by John Williams, God Father Theme by Nino Rota, The Sound of Music by Richard Rodgers, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

The first show is scheduled to take place on May 4 in Hanoi and the second on May 7 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Organisers will use the proceeds from the shows to support a project entitled Happiness Music, as well as other community activities related to music.

The Happiness Concert made its first appearance in 2016 with a view to bringing classical music closer to people who also can enjoy the melodies of familiar songs.

Over the past seven years, apart from indoor shows, organisers have also staged performances outdoors in some of the beautiful corners of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hoi An.

The proceeds from these shows went to charity and were used to support community culture and performance activities around the country.
