Hanoi 3rd int’l food festival a success

(VOV) -Despite inclement weather, thousands flocked on December 5 to the Van Phuc Diplomatic Compound at Kim Ma Street to attend the 3rd international food festival.

With more than 90 participating foreign embassy and diplomatic agency booths the event provided an excellent opportunity for ASEAN countries to showcase their distinctive cuisine to international friends.

At the event, exhibitors introduced traditional Vietnamese cuisine including such delicacies as spring rolls, banh mi, and the ever so popular Hanoi beer,

as well as Khao cake and Nga Hooc candy,

and Indian food.

Palestinian men chatted with customers while

those at the Cuban booth decorated it with peach trees

and other delicious foods at inexpensive prices.

Apart from food, visitors had a chance to enjoy eye-catching traditional costumes of Vietnam and other countries.

A foreigner was very excited to join the festival.

Goldmalt beer and hotdogs were a true hit,

but not as popular as beautiful girls wearing ao ba ba (Vietnamese silk ensemble) serving unique Vietnamese tea.
