HAGL Arsenal JMG defeats U17 Queensland at Sanix Cup
(VOV) - Vietnam’s U17 HAGL Arsenal JMG has thrashed Queensland’s U17 team 4-0 to progress to the quarter-finals of the Sanix Cup in Japan.
Star striker Nguyen Cong Phuong scored two goals in the first ten minutes of the match.
The dominance continued, with Van Thanh and Quang Huy each adding another goal to Vietnam’s score before the end of the first half.
Neither team scored in the second half.
The result meant HAGL Arsenal JMG finished on top of the tournament’s group A with eight points.
The quarter-finals are scheduled to begin on March 23.
