Ha Long Bay featured in trailer of US movie

VOV.VN - The imposing scenes and thrilling beauty of Ha Long Bay have been put on show as part of the official trailer for the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster "The Creator".

A range of beautiful images of Ha Long Bay, with its rolling mountains and crystal blue water, appeared during the first minutes of the trailer.

The film’s director Gareth Edwards revealed that he has visited the bay and has a lot of love for its majestic beauty.

The film crew also travelled 16,000 km to visit 18 different destinations, including Asian countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Nepal, Japan, and Indonesia.

The Creator stars John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, Allison Janney, and Vietnamese actress Ngo Thanh Van, with the film being set in a dystopian world in which the human race is at war against artificial intelligence.

In the film, Washington stars as Joshua, a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife played by Chan, who is recruited to hunt down and kill “the Creator”, the elusive architect of advanced artificial intelligence who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war and mankind itself.

The Creator was written by Edwards and Chris Weitz from a story created by Edwards. The film will premiere at Fantastic Fest on September 26 and be released in cinemas on September 29.

Previously, the beauty of Ha Long Bay also appeared in the Hollywood blockbuster Kong: Skull Island and the Warner Bros’ movie Peter Pan.
