VOV.VN - A broad range of cultural activities are set to transpire during German Festival 2018 slated for November 2-3 at Ly Thai To Statue Square in Hanoi, as announced by the German Embassy at a press conference on October 30.

The event aims to promote the image of Germany- a partner of Vietnam by introducing activities of Germany's political and cultural organizations and companies operating in Vietnam as well as their Vietnamese partners in order to promote cultural dialogue and seek further cooperation opportunities between the two countries in the future.

Art performances by Vietnamese and German music bands, students and German alumni are set to take place at Ly Thai To Statue Square along with exciting games for kids making it a great family day out.

There will be photo exhibitions on the Buddy Bears art project, German-Vietnam relationship and a series of films featuring German culture and tourism at the festival.

The festival will also provide visitors with information about universities and vocational training in Germany and bilateral cooperation on archaeology and cultural conservation.

The highlight of the event will be the 10th anniversary of the implementation of the “Schools: Partners for the Future” (PASCH) initiative, with a major focus on teaching German language as a foreign language in Vietnam.

On the occasion, German companies and organizations are about to display their products at 32 pavilions and introduce German cuisine to visitors.

The event is jointly held by the German Embassy in Hanoi, the Hanoi People’s Committee, the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK), the German Academic Exchange Service, Goethe Institute and the Central Agency for Schools Abroad (ZfA).
