François Hollande’s itinerary includes tour of Ancient House
VOV.VN - The itinerary for French President François Hollande’s three day visit to Hanoi on September 5-7 includes a tour of the Old Quarter and the Ancient House located at 87 Ma May Street.
The Ancient House, built in the 1890s, is one of the oldest landmarks in Hanoi. |
The house is built in traditional Vietnamese architectural style of the period with large windows on the ground floor. Shown is a side staircase with a slope of 70° to 75° made of wood. |
The Ancient House has a refreshed look thanks to a 1999 makeover, part of a restoration project funded in part by the city of Toulouse (France). |
