(VOV) - A delegation from the Vietnam National Museum of History, led by its director Dr Nguyen Van Cuong, made a working visit to France on October 24-30, aiming to reinforce cooperation and learn from France’s experience in the field of museums and culture.
The two sides examined the possibility of jointly hosting several exhibitions in 2013-2014 in the lead-up to the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and France.
During the working visit, Dr Cuong met with Olivier de Bernon, President of the Guimet Museum of Asian Art, and they agreed to co-organize an exhibition on the theme of “The Vietnamese Dragon” in the near future.
The Vietnamese delegation also had a working session with General Christian Baptiste, Director of the Army Museum in Paris, to discuss holding another exhibition on Indochina from 1858 to 1956.
Both exhibitions are scheduled to take place from October 2013 to January 2014.
