DANAFF IV will be jointly organized by the Da Nang municipal People’s Committee and the VFDA, with coordination from a wide range of domestic and international film institutions. The festival is intended to strengthen international film cooperation, promote Da Nang as a cultural destination, and support the development of Vietnam’s film industry.

Key events at this year’s festival will include the opening and closing ceremonies and awards presentation, screenings of films in and out of competition, as well as professional, training and industry-related activities.

A number of side events are also planned, including DANAFF exhibition booths, outdoor film screenings, press meetings with filmmakers, and exchanges with Vietnamese and international film stars.

The festival programme will also feature seminars on film industry development, intellectual property protection, and the evolution of Vietnamese cinema over 40 years of reform, alongside advanced classes led by international experts. Other activities include a Young Talents programme, a film project market, industry networking sessions, screenwriting training, and initiatives aimed at building a broader film community.

The event is expected to attract around 900 delegates, artists, filmmakers and industry professionals, including approximately 200 international guests.

Awards will be given to outstanding Asian films and Vietnamese films, with additional categories for directing, acting and screenwriting.

Following three previous editions, the Da Nang Asian Film Festival has contributed to positioning the city as a modern creative and cultural-tourism hub, while strengthening international connections through cinema.
