Foreigners excited to explore Mid-Autumn Festival

VOV.VN - A wide range of cultural activities opened at the international passenger terminal at Da Nang International Airport on September 27 to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, drawing the attention of many locals and foreigners.

The event has been organised by the Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT) with the theme of Vietnam-Republic of Korea cultural exchange.

The international passenger terminal has been decorated to feature many typical symbols of the two countries' traditions such as ancient houses in Hoi An, Hanok traditional houses, star-shaped lanterns, and Korean moon rabbits.

International visitors were greatly impressed with art performances put on by Trung Vuong Theater’s artists such as Korean folk dances, Vietnamese bamboo dancing, and lion dances.

Participants also enjoyed playing folk games and touring around booths displaying a range of Vietnamese and Korean souvenirs.

At confectionery booth featuring many types of green bean cakes, rice cakes, and sesame seeds, passengers spent time sampling traditional candies of both countries.

A booth of To He (toy figurine) drew plenty of attention from both children and adults. In addition, paper flowers from a 300-year-old craft village in Thua Thien-Hue province and traditional masks of both Vietnam and the RoK were also on display.

The event is scheduled to last through to September 29.
