Foreign students enjoy Vietnamese Tet

(VOV) - More than 100 foreign students studying or staying in Vietnam during the Lunar New Year (Tet) Festival joined a “Vietnamese Tet” programme on February 3.

The programme offered foreign students the chance to deepen their understanding of Vietnamese Tet through rituals such as setting up Lunar New Year trees (Cay Neu) and worshiping the Land Genie and Kitchen Gods on the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month.

They also participated in traditional preparatory activities and folk games—making square glutinous rice cakes (Banh Chung), children’s toys, and paper flowers; writing calligraphy; performing water puppetry; enjoying festive giant swings; and playing tug of war.
