Folk culture featured at SEA and Japanese youth exchange program

(VOV) - Vietnam’s displaying stand at the 42nd Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP)’s ‘cultural exchange” taking place in Japan has attracted a large number of guests savouring traditional dishes and trying on Ao Dai (traditional long dress).

November 4 was a busy day for SSEAYP members with 330 participation divided into 8 groups to discuss different topics covering food and nutrition, health, international relations, cultural diversification, school education, business start-up, the environment, information and communications. Meanwhile delegation heads paid a courtesy visit to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at his office.

International friends enjoy pretty and funny souvenirs like bamboo dragonfly and enthusiastically  join Flashmob modern dance or traditional gong dance

The ‘Open Ship’ ceremony on November 5 welcoming former SSEAYP members and Japanese ‘homestay’ families 

Nippon Maru ship is due leave Japan late November 5 for Manila and arrive in the Philippines on November 11.
