First wedding fashion show for LGBT community
A wedding fashion show for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people will be held for the first time in Vietnam in Hanoi on May 16, Tuoi Tre newspaper reports.
The “Happy Color” fashion exhibition will feature wedding costumes designed by Caroll Tran.
Founded by Caroll Tran, Happy Color is a non-profit project co-organized by Hop Giang Fashion & Art JSC and CK Media, which specializes in art and entertainment, advertising service and public relations.
According to the organizers, the event will put on show collections of suits and wedding gowns which are designed based on the body types and interest of LGBT people.
All costumes on display will be sold at auction to raise funds for LGBT couples who find it difficult to start up their businesses.
Speaking about the event, Caroll Tran said the show is to help people and especially families who have children as LGBT have a more positive view about this community.
The first Happy Color show will take place at Quan Ngua stadium in Hanoi.
