First members of Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 judging panel announced
VOV.VN - The organizing board of the Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 beauty pageant have named model Thanh Hang and designer Cong Tri as the first two members of the competition’s judging panel.

Named as the first person on the panel, Thanh Hang is a Vietnamese model, actress, and former Miss Vietnam Photogenic 2002 titleholder. She has been active in an array of entertainment and social activities for the past 20 years, giving onlookers the impression of a modern and confident woman.
She has previous experience as a judge for several beauty pageants and discovered H’Hen Nie, who finished among the Top 5 at Miss Universe 2018, and Mau Thuy, winner of Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2013.
Joining Thanh Hang will be Cong Tri who has been invited to be a judge for Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 for the first time. He is a familiar face in the Vietnamese fashion industry with his designs being popular among global celebrities such as Rihanna and Katy Perry.

This year’s Miss Universe Vietnam pageant is running with the theme of “Brave Heart”. The qualifying round is set to get underway in the southern region from September 6-7, whilst qualification in the northern region will take place from September 16-17.
The competition’s Top 60 contestants will take part in a reality television show titled “Toi la Hoa hau Hoan vu Vietnam”, I’m Miss Universe Vietnam in English, which is slated to be broadcast in early October on VTV9 channel.
The Top 45 will then progress to the semi-finals, while the final night will take place on December 7.
Aside from model Thanh Hang and designer Cong Tri, an additional four members of the judging panel have yet to be announced.
