Fireworks displays to welcome Tet in Hanoi
(VOV) - Hanoi will welcome the first day of the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet) with fireworks at 29 locations on February 10.
The five designated locations for long range fireworks include Ho Guom Lake, Thong Nhat Park, Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, Van Quan Lake, and My Dinh National Stadium.
The other locations in the remaining 24 inner and outlying districts will have lower range fireworks shows.
The Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee has requested the capital’s High Command to collaborate with the city’s police and related departments on organising the fireworks displays.
Hanoi also plans on organising 90 professional public area art performances, as well as a film week, to celebrate Tet.
Labourers will be granted a nine-day holiday over the course of the festival from February 9 to 17.
