Films by young OV introduced at Ici Vietnam Festival in Paris

VOV.VN - The "Ici Vietnam Festival- Spécial Cinéma" was held in Paris from October 22 to October 24, drawing the participation of numerous young overseas Vietnamese film directors as they shared their various achievements in the field of culture.

This marks the fourth time that the annual event has been held with the aim of introducing cinematographic works of both professional and amateur directors of Vietnamese origin.

During the three-day event, a total of 15 short films were screened in order to help audiences gain a greater insight into the unique characteristics of Vietnamese culture and other global cultures through the lens of young overseas Vietnamese directors.

These films feature real life stories or fiction, all of which reflect different characters, events, and psychological developments of Vietnamese people in every corner of the world.

All of the works were screened at Le Grand Action cinema in district 5 of Paris, while audiences were given the opportunity to interact with the young film directors and get involved in discussions regarding the content and the significance of the films.

"Ici Vietnam Festival” was held for the first time back in 2018 at the initiative of the General Union of Vietnamese in France (UGVF).

The event provides an ideal venue for young overseas Vietnamese involving in various fields such as film and music, contemporary art, dance, literature, football, and culinary arts can come together to promote their creativity and share their achievements.
