Fifth Vietnam Book Day slated for April

The fifth Vietnam Book Day is slated for April 18-22, 2018 at Thong Nhat Park in Hanoi, according to the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC).

The MIC revealed that a book publishing month will be held from April 1 to May 1 in response to the event.

Themed “Book and Family,” the Vietnam Book Day this year aims to foster connectivity between authors and readers, encouraging and developing reading culture among the community, contributing to building a learning society.

During the event, a number of exchanges with authors and seminars on various issues will be held. A communication campaign will also be organise to encourage the response of schools, agencies, organisations, ministries, sectors and localities.

The annually Vietnam Book Day has become a festival of the community and an important cultural event of the whole society.
