Festival set to delight local K-Pop fans

VOV.VN - Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square in Hanoi is poised to welcome the return of the K-Pop Lovers Festival 2022 on May 14 after two years of the event being paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The festival will feature a wide range of activities, including an exhibition featuring K-Pop idols, the introduction of the culture, tourism, and food of the Republic of Korea (RoK), as well as exchanges among numerous K-Pop fan clubs.

Visitors will have the chance to sample Korean traditional outfit Hanbok and join Korean dances from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 14.

The highlight of the festival will be the much-awaited performances of 20 individuals and groups selected from various K-Pop singing and dancing competitions which have been held across the country. They will have the opportunity to show off their singing and dancing skills, as well as their love for K-Pop, during the course of the festival.

They will perform alongside famous Vietnamese singers Duc Phuc, Liz Kim Cuong, and Orange.

The event is organised by the Korean Culture Centre in Vietnam and Korean Tourism Organization (KTO) with the aim of celebrating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the nation and the RoK, as well as the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31).
