VOV.VN - The Vietnam-Japan Cultural Exchange Festival 2017 kicked off in the central city of Danang on July 28, featuring technology, fashion, handicrafts, cosmetics, and food.
Visitors are treated to a space for culture, cuisine, tourism, and education exchanges, together with calligraphy demonstrations, Kimono fashion shows, Japan’s tea ceremony and film screenings. There will also be Japanese speaking and Cosplay contests.
The highlight of the three-day festival was a street performance at the opening ceremony involving more than 100 artists from the two nations
Briu Thuong, chief of an art troupe from Quang Nam province said, “It’s an honor for me to participate in the festival. This is an excellent opportunity for us to introduce our Co Tu ethnic minority culture to Japanese people.”
Budget airline Jetstar Pacific will take this occasion to announce its direct flights from Danang to Osaka, starting on September 1.
