Festival featuring delicious dishes gets underway in HCM City
VOV.VN - A festival showcasing some of the nation’s most delicious dishes kicked off at the Youth Cultural House on Pham Ngoc Thach street in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City on November 14, with a large number of foreign visitors hoping to sample some mouth-watering delicacies.

During their opening remarks at the event, several leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism note that the city’s tourism sector expects to welcome approximately 41 million visitors during the course of the year, including 8.5 million foreign ones and earning a gross tourism revenue of roughly VND 150 trillion, a rise of 14.5 per cent on year. |

In order to meet this growth target, the local tourism sector plans to organise additional programs, cultural, and tourism events in a bid to attract more visitors at the end of the year. The food festival is part of an array of activities that aim to develop the city’s tourism industry. |

This year’s festival the themed "Vietnam - Kitchen of the World" and run from November 14- 17. The occasion’s aim is to provide guests with the opportunity to experience a variety of unique dishes from different regions from across the country, whilst also having the chance to enjoy both traditional and international beers. |
