FC Santos to bring six football stars to Vietnam
(VOV) - Twenty-three players of Brazilian FC Santos, including six stars, will play at the 2013 friendly Ho Chi Minh City Football Cup from September 26-30.
These football stars include No. 3 goalkeeper Gabriel Gaparotto, defenders Wesley Douglas and Emerson Palmieri, midfielder Pedro Castro and strikers Gabriel Barbosa and Victor Andrade.
They will take on Vietnam’s U23 squad at Thong Nhat stadium on September 29.
Santos’ trip is made at the invitation of the HCM City Football Federation (HFF).
Apart from Santos, the national U23 squad will have another friendly match with Turkey’s U23 Galatasaray on September 27.
As scheduled, the national team will have a two-week training course in Hungary from September 11-23 and play some friendlies there before returning to Vietnam for the HCM City tournament.
