Father and Son on screen in Uruguay

The Vietnamese movie Cha Cong Con (Father and Son) was screened in Uruguay on March 14 as part of cultural activities in celebration of International Francophonie Day.
The film screening was organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina and Uruguay.
At the event, representatives from the Vietnamese embassy underlined the human values of the film which tells story of a little boy named Ca who dreams of touching the clouds and of visiting fairytale lands. However, he suffers from an incurable disease and his blind father whisks him away to go to see everything he wishes before his death.
Attendees at the event were impressed by the film, many of whom expressed their wish to visit Vietnam to see the country.
The Francophonie Week, taking place in Montevideo and other cities in Uruguay from March 6-22, is jointly held by embassies and representatives of Francophonie member states in the nation.
