Fascinating finds on show at Hanoi archaeological exhibition

VOV.VN - An exhibition featuring 300 artefacts from centuries past opened at the Vietnam National Museum of History in Hanoi on April 12.

This is the first time that an exhibition has been organised on such a scale and showcases the most archaeological treasures so far.
A bronze drum from the Dong Son culture dated at 2,000-2,500 years old.
A bronze animal statue from the Dong Nai culture is dated at about 2,500 years old. It was discovered in Doc Chua, Tan Uyen, Binh Duong in 1977.
A piece of pottery from the Phung Nguyen culture is dated at 3,500-4,000 years old.
Stone jewellery from the Phung Nguyen culture is dated at 3,500-4,000 years old.
Chau Can, an ancient tomb of the Dong Son culture is dated at about 2,300 years old.
A bronze arrow of the Dong Son culture is dated at 2,000-2,500 years old. It was discovered recently in Co Loa, Dong Anh, Hanoi.

This bronze axe of the Dong Son culture was used as a working tool and weapon.

Jewellery made of glass, agate, pottery, and stone from the Sa Huynh culture is dated at 2,000-2,500 years old.
A golden Linga
The Linga was found in Cat Tien, Lam Dong.
The head of a stone Shiva statue from the Champa culture was found in Dong Duong, Thang Binh, Quang Nam.
A stone Shiva yogi statue from the Champa culture was discovered in Binh Dinh in 2011.
Statues from the Champa culture were unearthed in Binh Dinh in 2011.
This 11th-13th century terracotta phoenix head from the Ly dynasty was excavated in the Thang Long Royal Citadel in Hanoi.
A 13th-14th century glazed brown bowl from the Tran dynasty.
The exhibition will run until the end of July, 2018.
