Exhibition spotlights Vietnam through artistic photos

A photo exhibition will feature 245 artworks about Vietnam in Ha Long City, the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh from October 30 to November 8.

The information was released at a press conference on the biennial event held in Hanoi on October 24.

This year, the exhibition features two topics, namely “Ha Long – Quang Ninh: New Perspective” and “Freedom”.

According to Ma The Anh, deputy head of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition Department and head of the exhibition’s art council, in the three months after its launch, the exhibition received 10,000 submissions from 1,450 professional and non-professional photographers nationwide. 

The art council selected 245 works from 192 photographers, and awarded two gold prizes, four silver prizes, six bronze prizes and 10 consolation prizes.

The winners will be honoured during the course of the exhibition.
