A multi-platform, community project implemented by a group of independent artists, architects, researchers, scholars, and cultural activists, in collaboration with several art organizations, the show is a direct response to Vietnam’s rapid yet uncontrolled urbanization.
The project showcases the architectural heritage of Hue City and the surrounding villages, those that are situated outside the Imperial City recognized by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage.
The exhibition aims to create Hue’s cultural continuity by preserving cultural material, especially architecture, which records historical evolution.
It is supported by Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts and HCMC-based research and design studio atelier NgNg.
