Exhibition asserts sovereignty over Truong Sa, Hoang Sa

(VOV) -An exhibition in the central coastal city of Tuy Hoa is displaying the historical evidence asserting Vietnam’s sovereignty over Truong Sa (Spratly) and Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelagos.

The event, which opened on March 28, features nearly 150 maps and documents of both Chinese and Vietnamese origin dating back to feudal times of the 17th century, all affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over the two groups of islands.

It’s worth noting that a collection of four atlases and 30 maps originating from China from different historical periods unequivocally indicate the two archipelagos do not belong to China.

The exhibition also showcases legal documents, claiming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Truong Sa and Hoang Sa.

This was the 7th time the Ministry of Information and Communications has coordinated with provinces and cities to organize such an exhibition.
