European films to hit national cinemas this November

VOV.VN - Film buffs will have the opportunity to watch plenty of leading European films during the 23rd European Film Festival (EUFF), due to take place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from November 14 to 28.

Featuring a total of 18 works of contemporary European cinema, the festival will showcase stories set in a range of spatiotemporal contexts.

Coming to EUFF 2024, cinema goers will have the opportunity to follow the journey of finding love, friendship, and family affection through films such as Mermaids Don’t Cry (Austria), Playground (Belgium), 20,000 Species of Bees (Spain), and My Father Marianne (Sweden).

Viewers will also experience diverse historical settings through films such as Delusions of Grandeur (France, Germany, Spain, and Italy), Semmelweis (Hungary), The Goldfish (Germany), and There’s Still Tomorrow (Italy), among others.

A total of 18 European films will be screened at the National Cinema Center at 87 Lang Ha street in Hanoi, as well as at Cinestar 135 Hai Ba Trung in Ho Chi Minh City.

Free tickets will be available from November 5. No pre-registration is required.

Originally launched in 2000, the EUFF has become a prominent annual cultural event in Vietnam by bringing together fresh and captivating aspects of European culture to local people.

The festival is organised annually by the EU Delegation to Vietnam in collaboration with embassies and cultural institutions of EU states.
