Edinburgh to host Vietnam Discovery Day
(VOV) -The Scottish capital of Edinburgh has scheduled a Vietnam Discovery Day on September 7 as part of commemorations for the 40th year of Vietnamese-UK diplomatic ties.
Glasgow University Student Association Chairman Tran Kien credited student participation and Vietnamese Embassy support with helping preparations run smoothly thus far.
Vietnamese students in Glasgow are very excited at the chance to promote their country’s land, people, and culture to international friends, Kien said.
They have already volunteered for responsibilities including MCing, designing banners and brochures, informing local news agencies and universities, enlisting the catering skills of The Hanoi Bike Shop restaurant, and arranging Scottish dance performances by the Ceilidh club.
