Downtown Hanoi to host diverse events for Mid-Autumn Festival

VOV.VN - The Mid-Autumn Festival promises to offer local people a great chance to explore different aspects of Vietnamese culture in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, with a range of events set to be held between September 25 and October 1.

An area that aims to recreate the various traditions that a typical Hanoian family would follow as they celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival has been set up at Heritage House at 87 Ma May street.

Furthermore, the Cultural Exchange Center at 50 Dao Duy Tu  will also host an event to introduce traditional aspects of the Mid-Autumn Festival to guests, with the venue hosting artisans who will present and teach audiences how to make toys, including star lanterns and Tò He figurines, among other traditional items.

Moreover, a variety of arts and handicrafts will go on display at Kim Ngan temple at 42 to 44 Hang Bac street, in addition to the heritage information centre at 28 Hang Buom street.

Along with events in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, several activities will be held online through the "PHỐ CỔ HÀ NỘI" (Hanoi Old Quarter) fan page, with artisans guiding children on how to create traditional toys to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.
